Qeike Help Center

Everything you need to get started with Qeike.

Getting started

  1. Download and install Qeike from the Download page (Windows 10 or later)
  2. Enter an activation key the first time you open it. Get one on the free key page
  3. Each key works on up to 3 devices; all keys are valid until 2027-04-17
  4. In Settings you can switch dark / light themes and Chinese / English

Asset library

  • Import: drag images, GIFs and videos, or images from a web page, into the library or canvas; or import an Eagle / Billfish library with one click (read only, the original is not changed)
  • Drag into subfolders: drop assets onto subfolder cards in the main area; the drag preview shows the asset thumbnail (not the app icon)
  • Drag tags: drag tags between groups, or onto assets to apply them
  • Rename and batch actions: rename right on the card; select several to add them to an asset group, copy or delete
  • File info panel: view and edit name, tags, notes, rating, source, colors and size, all searchable
  • Search and filters: type something like “red landscape images from last week” and filter by color, size and date
  • Tags and asset groups: both can be nested; tags can be grouped and color-coded; hide asset groups and linked folders with one click
  • Copy and drag out: Ctrl+C copies the original file, or drag assets into other apps
  • Edit and share: adjust colors and crop without changing the original; share as a gallery or slideshow
  • Viewer and formats: double-click or press Space to zoom, pan and flip through; open PureRef files and preview more formats

Collect and search

  • Install the extension: one package for Chrome / Edge / 360; unsigned temporary Firefox package; Safari: source only for now (package on a Mac). Use the in-app wizard
  • Red “Collect” pill: hover an image — a red pill with a white Q appears at the top-left; one click saves; “Collected” on success, hover for failure reasons; hides while typing
  • Four ways to collect: directional drag, drag into Qeike, context menu, Alt+right-click — each toggled in the popup
  • Built-in browser: open pages inside Qeike; hover-collect, right-click save / save all, drag in with source kept
  • Aggregated search: search multiple sites in one grid; add, edit or remove custom sites that merge with the defaults
  • Destination and whole page: library by default; right-click the Collect pill or use the popup to change target; select a whole page in the popup
  • Details in the extension guide (Chinese)

Canvas and collaboration

  • Pan and zoom freely on the infinite canvas
  • Links: hover a card for connection points (larger hit targets); dashed when unconnected / solid when connected, magnetic snap, Esc to cancel; lines follow as you drag (builds on the 1.1.7 Leafer base)
  • Connectors: connect cards with straight, orthogonal, or curved lines; drag endpoints to reconnect; edit style from the floating toolbar (color, width, dash, arrowheads); Delete or Backspace removes a selected connector
  • Stacking and group frames keep related assets together
  • Sticky notes and text with font, size and color
  • One-click layout: tidy or compact by type, or layout just the selection
  • Collaboration: one-click rooms from the canvas top bar — host, LAN, or Online Canvas (password optional); member cursors and sticky notes
  • Copy / paste across canvas tabs; a single image can paste into other apps
  • Video and pin: play / scrub / speed / loop; pin the canvas window on top
  • Screenshot hotkey such as F10 into the library and canvas

Projects and saving

  • Projects are saved as local .qkp files that include the original images
  • Projects still open if the original files are moved or deleted
  • All data stays on your computer and uses no online storage; uninstall can keep your library
  • If the app closes unexpectedly, reopen it to recover your work

Long image slicer

  1. Open a long image and mark the cut positions with guides
  2. Preview the size of each slice before exporting
  3. Choose PNG, JPG or WebP and adjust quality (default 100)
  4. Save the slicing project to continue later

Batch and conversion tools

  • Batch rename: pick a simple preset (prefix, suffix, numbering, …), check the live preview, then apply. One click undoes it
  • Batch resize: scale by percentage, exact width or height, or a size range, and set format, quality and target size
  • Image compression: pick a mode, compare with the slider, then export
  • Video and GIF conversion: set the clip, size, frame rate and quality, or speed and loops, then convert, in batches if you like
  • Duplicate and similar images: scan a folder, select the images to remove and move them to the Recycle Bin (at least one per group is kept)

See the Tools page for details on each tool.
