Qeike FAQ

Answers to common questions about Qeike.

Is Qeike free?

Yes. Qeike is free to use, and the activation key you need is free too. Get one here.

Why do I need an activation key, and how do I activate?

Enter an activation key the first time you use Qeike. Each key works on up to 3 devices, and all keys are valid until 2027-04-17. Keys are free on this website: 1,000 are released every Monday at 00:00 (UTC+8), one per person per week.

Which systems does Qeike support?

The desktop app runs on Windows and requires Windows 10 or later. Qeike for Android 1.0.2 (about 117 MB) is also available for Android phones and tablets.

Where are my assets stored? Are they uploaded?

Your assets, projects and all processing stay on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded. Qeike only goes online to verify your key during activation.

How do I back up my work?

Projects are local .qkp files that include the original images. Copy your .qkp files and asset folders to an external drive or cloud drive.

Can I still open a project if the original images were moved or deleted?

Yes. .qkp projects carry the original images, so you can keep editing.

What if the app closes unexpectedly?

Open Qeike again and you can recover your previous work.

Which browsers can I collect from?

One package for Chrome / Edge / 360, plus an unsigned temporary Firefox package. Safari: source code only for now; it needs to be packaged on a Mac. See the extension guide (Chinese).

What if collecting fails?

When the “Collect” pill on an image shows a failure, hover over it to see why, for example the site does not allow downloads or the network failed. Protected videos cannot be collected; collect the cover image instead.

Can I import my Eagle or Billfish library?

Yes, with one click. Qeike only reads the original library and never changes it.

Does editing change my original image?

No. Color adjustments and cropping do not change the original.

Which formats are supported?

The library supports images, GIFs and videos, opens PureRef files and previews more formats. The slicer exports PNG, JPG and WebP.

Can I take screenshots with a hotkey?

Yes. Set a custom screenshot hotkey such as F10 in Settings; screenshots go straight into the library and canvas.

How do canvas connectors work?

Hover a card to show ports (larger hit targets), then drag to another card. Unconnected ports look dashed, connected ones solid; nearby ports snap magnetically, and Esc cancels. In dark theme, the selection floating bar uses near-white text and icons for contrast.

Can I add text on the canvas?

Yes. Add text with font, size and color, including multi-line Chinese input.

Is cleaning up duplicates safe?

Selected images are moved to the Recycle Bin rather than deleted outright, and at least one image per group is always kept.

How do I switch between dark and light themes?

Open Settings and switch between the dark and light themes.

Does the app support Chinese and English?

Yes. You can switch the interface between Chinese and English in Settings.

How do I update?

Qeike updates online. When a new version is available you’ll be notified and can install it and restart with one click.

How do I send feedback?

Leave us a message on the Contact page and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
